We are New Zealand’s provider of education services for Deaf and hard of hearing (DHH) children

We’re here to ensure hearing level is not a barrier to education and fulfilling life by providing students with support and resources to help them reach their academic potential and pastoral care to nurture their social and emotional health and wellbeing.

Drawing on 140 years of knowledge and seeing Deaf Education evolve and grow, our full range of services covers everything a child might need to make the most of their learning; from 1-1 support to access to specialists and therapists.

We also see you as our co-partner in educating DHH children and work with you to promote excellence and best practice in meeting their needs. We offer specialist courses, resources and support for mainstream schools and teachers to help you grow your capability in Deaf Education and become more inclusive.

In aiming to be world leaders in Deaf Education, we hope to build and sustain a productive partnership with you and your school, the student’s parents and whānau, and other professionals to ensure they learn in an environment where they can Belong, Grow, Choose and Excel.
