Ko Taku Reo School Board

In New Zealand, school boards are elected every three years.

Duties of the Board include:

• Setting the strategic direction and long-term plans for the school in consultation with the school community;
• Monitoring and evaluating student progress and achievement;
• Making sure the school focuses its strategic planning on improving student achievement through high-quality teaching and learning programmes;
• Overseeing the management of staff, property, finances, curriculum and administration.
