Student election

We are pleased to announce the results of the election for our two student representatives on the Board.

Congratulations to Sierra Wetzel and Lexus Thompson on their appointments. We look forward to the perspectives they will bring to the Board and wish them well in their new roles.

Extra vacancy

The Board received many high-quality applications to fill this vacancy. The Board have reviewed them all and voted Jen Smith as our new board member.

Jen is a Māori educator of Ngāti Whātua and Ngāpuhi descent, a hard of hearing professional, and a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Education at the University of Canterbury.

We are excited to have Jen join the Board and bring her skills, experience, and governance capabilities to the school’s ongoing development, and to support the Board in governing the school to ensure better outcomes for deaf and hard of hearing students.
