The Ko Taku Reo Board held its second meeting on Zoom on 17 December. Our agenda included reviewing the 2026 Resourcing Notice and monitoring reports; approving the 2026 budget; and discussing and making a decision on filling our Board vacancy.

The Board decided to fill this vacancy by "selection" because it has identified a gap in its representative make-up of Māori and Māori parent reps, and this "selection" option enables the Board to fill that gap.

If 10% or more of eligible voters on the school roll ask the Board, within 28 days of this notice being published, to instead hold a by-election to fill the vacancy, then a by-election will be held. A request for a by-election should be sent to: boardelections@kotakureo.school.nz
