Dear Valued Community Members,

We are excited to extend a warm invitation to a community information evening about some of the buildings on the Christchurch, Sumner Campus. As a valued member of our vibrant community, we want you to be informed about the changes.

The Reason for the Changes

We have a few buildings that are getting old and harder to maintain, including the gymnasium and some flats that were red zoned from the earthquakes. They need to be removed.

We understand that change can be both an opportunity and a challenge, which is why we want to share information about the removal plan.

An Open Dialogue

At this event, the Ministry of Education and the Leadership of Ko Taku Reo – Deaf Education New Zealand will provide an update on the gymnasium and red zoned buildings on the Sumner site and discuss questions you may have.

📍 Location: 38 Truro Street, Sumner, Christchurch (Map)

👥 Meeting space: Waimakariri Room (Next to the Staff Room)
