Phones away for the day shows positive results

A recent Education Review Office report confirms that the 'Phones Away for the Day' policy is having positive impacts in schools.
Key findings show improvements in:
- Classroom teaching
- Student focus and learning
- Behaviour
- Attitudes towards school
Nearly all schools have now adopted the policy, which has been required since 29 April 2024.
Note: Cell phone use remains permitted when connected to a student's health, disability, or learning support needs.
