Ko Taku Reo Deaf Education NZ is excited to let you know that we are starting a Playgroup in the Wellington region. This opportunity is for families with Deaf or Hard of Hearing children or CODAs to come together for the morning and be part of a playgroup session. We aim to have a regular routine involving music, storytelling, creativity and play with a focus on quality bilingual NZSL and spoken English interactions.

The playgroup is being held at Tawa-Linden Playcentre in Tawa on Tuesday mornings from 9 am – 11:30 am. Parents, Grandparents, siblings and extended whanau are all welcome to join in the sessions. Local Advisors of Deaf Children, First Signs facilitators and Ko Taku Reo staff will all be working together and available to work with the children and whanau during these sessions.

The first day of the Playgroup is Tuesday 27 October. They will run every Tuesday this term until Tuesday 8 December. We look forward to welcoming families and whanau on these days.
