Ko Taku Reo - Deaf Education New Zealand Student Representative election for the Board

Nominations are invited for the election of two student representatives to the Board.

A nomination form and a copy of this notice are being distributed to all eligible voters on the student roll. You can nominate yourself and/or anyone else on the student roll who is eligible.

Nominations close at noon on Monday, 16 March 2026 and MUST be accompanied by a candidate’s statement (no more than 400 words) and a photo. We strongly encourage candidates to submit an NZSL video of their statement with their written submission. The school is unable to support the translation of the statements in NZSL. Please send it in as soon as you can.

The voting roll is open for inspection at the Auckland office of Ko Taku Reo, or for email enquiries: boardelection@kotakureo.school.nz

Students must be Year 9 or above and under 20 years of age.

Please complete the nomination form and email it, along with the candidate statement, to the Returning Officer at: boardelection@kotakureo.school.nz.

All nominations must be received by noon on Monday, 16 March 2026.

  • Any nomination forms received after this time will be void.
  • If any fields are left incomplete, the nomination form will be void.
